Memorial

Margo and Martha Swain gave a very generous memorial in memory of Caroline Bennett who was an important member of the Historical Society for many years.  After checking with George and Sara Ann, Mrs. Bennett's son and daughter-in-law, we decided to purchase the equipment to allow us to record the meetings and eventually prepare a CD so that someone could view the meeting later.  The Society is certainly appreciative of this thoughtful gift.

Cemetery Books

Several of the cemetery books have been sold during the summer and one of them has brought notice of genealogical services by one who purchased the book.  Leigh Anne Ashley in Pass Christian, MS, calls this A Look Back in Time.  She has sent her telephone and email address.  She said she travels all over the state if anyone should like to talk to her.  We have her card along with a booklet describing her services.
